Uchechi’s career began in 2006 as an intern with the largest Television Network in Africa, The Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), where she worked in the News Department. In 2009, she became a Human Resource Management Specialist at the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), managing a diverse pool of Francophone and Anglophone staff from 15 countries. In 2015, she co-founded D&D Media. she has successfully created and produced two TV shows that air in 52 countries on Africa Magic via DSTV.
She is also a buzzing children’s book author and publisher @booksbyuchechi whose debut book, “The Mosquito Bite That Changed Olu’s Life,” was featured as a “Top Pick” in The Washington Post, making the book a huge success worldwide, particularly in the United States, where it featured on bestsellers lists on Amazon. She is a Team Lead for The UNICEF Quality Education Advocacy Network. Uchechi’s love for storytelling continues to inspire her work in publishing Africa- themed books for kids, covering folktales, proverbs, animations, and more.
